Paul Hood – Banqueting and Events Chef of the Year

Creativity, consistency and a deep respect for Scotland’s natural larder – that’s what defines Paul Hood’s approach in the kitchen. As Executive Head Chef at Heritage Portfolio, Paul leads with flair and precision, delivering exceptional dining at some of the UK’s most iconic events, from Royal Garden Parties to the Edinburgh Military Tattoo.

With over 20 years in the industry, Paul is a champion of local, seasonal ingredients and a dedicated mentor to emerging talent. His vision and leadership continue to shape our distinctive culinary identity, setting the standard for modern banqueting.

Stephen Frost – Lifetime Achievement Award

A true industry icon, Stephen Frost was honoured with a well-deserved Lifetime Achievement Award, celebrating a career spanning more than 50 years. From classical training in Cambridge to award-winning kitchens across the UK, Stephen’s journey has been marked by excellence, integrity and heart.

Now a cornerstone of Heritage Portfolio’s culinary leadership, Stephen has played a key role in delivering world-class hospitality at landmark venues and global events. Alongside his many accolades, his legacy includes mentoring a generation of chefs and championing sustainability and Scottish produce wherever possible.

Caroline Bacigalupo – Highly Commended, Employee of the Year

Recognised as Highly Commended in the Employee of the Year category, Caroline Bacigalupo brings infectious energy, creativity, and care to every aspect of her role as Head of Operations at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh.

A natural leader with a flair for innovation, Caroline has strengthened client relationships, championed sustainability initiatives, and launched partnerships that elevate the visitor experience. Alongside her professional achievements, she’s a passionate mentor, community volunteer, and advocate for inclusive employment through initiatives like Jobs First with Social Bite.
