National Galleries Scotland modern two
About
The Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art comprises two neoclassical gallery buildings, Modern One and Modern Two. Both are set in beautiful grounds to the west of the city centre, just a ten minute walk from Princes Street.
Modern Two’s collection of intriguing artworks embraces the wacky and wonderful, departing from traditional styles in search of new forms and expressions emerging in the late 19th and early 20th century. It's home to one of the most important Surrealist collections in the world, with artworks by the likes of Dali, Picasso and Miro making it an intriguing and undeniably stylish venue for parties, drinks receptions or product launches.
Preceded by an exclusive private view of the Gallery’s exhibitions, the Gallery, grounds and Paolozzi's Kitchen (beautifully designed as a contemporary take on the coffee houses of Vienna) can be hired for exclusive events from a cool summer party on the lawn to intimate dinners in the stunning double-height Great Hall in the shadow of Paolozzi’s striking sculpture ‘Vulcan’.
